Hello all! My name is Sara and I'm an intern here at State of Mind. I am currently pursuing my Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Wilmington University, where I also earned my Bachelor’s in Psychology. I became a counselor because I have a deep appreciation for the resilience of the human spirit and a passion for helping individuals navigate life’s challenges. I have experience working with individuals who are dealing with depression, anxiety, ADHD, and self-esteem issues. My therapeutic approach is person-centered, which means I believe that you are the expert on your own life. Together, we will work to uncover your strengths, overcome obstacles, and help you become the best, most authentic version of yourself. I integrate a variety of techniques into my practice, including cognitive behavioral therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and mindfulness. My style is empathetic and authentic, with just the right touch of humor to create a supportive and uplifting environment. Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or seeking greater self-understanding, I am here to support you on your journey toward growth and healing.
