Hello there! I’m Kara A. Sullivan, a Licensed Professional Counselor of Mental Health based in Delaware. I earned my Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Wilmington University and hold a Bachelor’s in English Literature from Loyola College in Maryland. I am excited to offer virtual-only appointments here at State of Mind!

My journey has been shaped by diverse life experiences, including teaching English in Thailand, volunteering in Mozambique, Africa as a Peace Corps member, and extensive foreign travel. These experiences have enriched my ability to relate and connect with others.I find fulfillment in working with individuals who have faced a broad spectrum of challenges, such as trauma, anxiety, depression, and ADHD. I employ various therapeutic modalities, including CBT, DBT, and Motivational Interviewing, to provide my clients with effective tools and techniques to enhance their overall well-being.Outside of my professional endeavors, I enjoy hiking, reading, practicing yoga, and exploring new places.
